About Stephen Giorgio

author of Empty Knight: Book One of the Warrior Druid Chronicles

Dr. Stephen R. Giorgio graduated from the New York Chiropractic College in 1985. He had a successful practice for ten years. Afterward, he established a mobile diagnostic business specializing in Electromyography.

In November of 2005, he was in a horrific car accident. He was brought to Stony Brook Hospital DOA, revived and was in a coma for one month, followed by two months of intensive therapy.

His writing career started after the September 11 attacks in which his then brother–in-law was killed while attempting to rescue people as a part of the N.Y. Fire Department. A short piece, "A Simple Hero," was written and published on numerous sites on the internet. Afterward, he wrote a short story, "Empty Knight," for a competition. After Dr. Giorgio received numerous positive critiques he decided to make the short story into a full length novel. A year later, the book was completed and became book one of an ongoing saga, The Warrior Druid Chronicles.

Shortly after completion of his first novel, he wrote a second book, although it is not a fantasy fiction novel. Stefan, A Modern Vampire Tale was born. This story took a tangential path away from the classic gothic tales. This will also be a series. How many is the operative question.

Dr. Giorgio is a father of three, Jenna, Stephen, and Geralin. These names will become familiar because some of the characters are the fictitious personas of the three.

"Fantasy and Horror are just an extension of my dreams and thoughts, the story lines evolve in time until the words escape and the conceptual ideas become concrete and put to paper. It is not uncommon for me to write at three in the morning. The characters invade my sleep and will not go away until I put them into document form."
